About AMP Music Lab
AMP Music Lab is a music technology education company focused on teaching music production, recording arts, and DJ skills through practical, one-on-one instruction and real-world workflows.
Since 2015, we’ve helped aspiring artists, producers, and DJs in Palm Beach County and beyond get started, build strong foundations, and move past the common learning curve that stops most people from finishing music.
Our philosophy is simple:
Learn the craft the same way musicians have always learned — with a knowledgeable instructor, a clear process, and hands-on practice.
A Practical Approach to Modern Music Education
AMP Music Lab provides private instruction and structured training in:
• Music Production
• Recording & Home Studio Workflows
• Songwriting & Arrangement
• Mixing & Basic Mastering
• DJ Skills & Performance Fundamentals
Instruction is focused on usable skills, not abstract theory alone.
Students learn how ideas move from concept → session → recording → mix → finished track, using tools and workflows that translate directly to real-world creation.
Whether you’re brand new or already experimenting on your own, our goal is to help you develop clarity, confidence, and independence in your creative process.
Programs Built Around Real Pipelines
Our training is organized around two core pillars:
Music Production Training
Built around the modern music production pipeline:
Songwriting → Recording → Mixing → Mastering → Release
DJ Training
Built around five foundational pillars:
Gear • Beat Matching • Phrase Mixing • Harmonic Mixing • Live Remixing
Rather than locking students into rigid curriculum, we customize lesson paths based on:
• Experience level
• Musical goals
• Preferred software/tools
• Learning style
This keeps progress practical and relevant.
A Local School With Deep Roots
AMP Music Lab was founded in 2015 in Abacoa (Jupiter, FL) as a small music production and DJ training studio.
As the community grew, we expanded into Downtown West Palm Beach in 2017, operating studios at:
• Ventureworx (500 Block of Datura Street)
• The Harvey Building
• 120 S Dixie Highway
Over the years, thousands of students have come through AMP programs, workshops, and community initiatives.
Today, AMP Music Lab operates through:
• On-location instruction
• Remote lessons
• Virtual training
This flexible model allows us to continue serving students without being tied to a single physical facility.
Youth-focused programs now operate separately under our nonprofit partner:
AMP Education Foundation (amp-ed.org)
AMP Music Lab remains focused on teen and adult education, private instruction, and career-path skills.
